This is an educational model of a house with a vented attic. Layer separation, material thicknesses, component positions, and airflow are simplified so you can see how the parts relate.
The explorer shows generic architectural shingles, concrete tiles, and standing-seam metal. Oyster installs shingle and standing-seam metal roofs in the Lowcountry; tile is shown for comparison. Colors are visual approximations, not manufacturer samples. Product details, framing, attachment, underlayment, and ventilation must be selected for the actual house and local requirements.
The Oyster Standard panel names the TAMKO shingle behind each Oyster package and the details to confirm in your written proposal. Manufacturer benchmarks describe specific products; an ASTM reference is not proof of a contractor’s installation or a promise that every package includes that product.
The attic controls illustrate airflow and coverage. They do not predict temperatures, energy savings, ventilation sizing, or R-values. An unvented roof assembly needs a different design.
