Gutters in Charleston

Peninsula gutters have to move water off a steep roof into a street that may already be flooded. On the peninsula the gutter job is often a fascia job. We open the edge, replace the rot, wrap or prime the fascia, and hang the gutter on solid material, priced as its own line so you see what the rot cost.

Downspout discharge is a decision on the peninsula. A downspout that ends at the sidewalk on a Harleston Village lot runs water back under the house on a king tide; one tied into a drain that runs to the street backs up when the street floods. We route discharge to the highest point on the lot that drains, and on a South of Broad house with a garden, into a dry well or a drain line the landscaper installed, coordinated with the roof schedule.
