Gutters in Moncks Corner

Pine straw is the Moncks Corner gutter problem. Fairlawn, Old Whitesville Road, the Berkeley Country Club streets and the rural lots sit under pines that drop needles year-round, and a long single-story ranch run means one clogged downspout backs up forty feet of gutter. We install 6-inch seamless aluminum with micro-mesh guards as standard, because a needle-sized gap is the whole point.

Foxbank and Spring Grove two-stories usually came with 5-inch builder gutters undersized for the roof area, and we upsize to 6-inch on those homes. On a Pinopolis lake house, the water side of the roof drains toward the dock and the porch, so downspout routing away from the foundation and the porch footings is part of the install.

Moncks Corner's older lots have long, low, level gutters. A forty-foot run on a Fairlawn or Old Whitesville Road ranch has to fall to its downspout to drain, and gutters hung level in 1985 have held water for decades and rotted the fascia behind them. We re-hang for fall, add a downspout where the run is too long, and replace the soft fascia, each priced as its own line so a homeowner can see what the standing water cost.

For a rural property, the gutter job includes every roof that sheds toward the house. A metal carport or a workshop that dumps onto the house side keeps a crawlspace wet no matter how the house is guttered, and a low-slope addition tied into the main roof needs its own downspout at the joint. We look at where the water on the whole lot ends up before anything is sized.
